Why Golf

Experiences are our greatest teacher. First Tee believes in developing the ones that are just as fun as they are meaningful, where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. Through our personal growth and junior golf programs, we see kids’ build self confidence, inspiring more active participation in leadership opportunities and events, community involvement, and college scholarships.

First Tee’s Child Safety Policy

Every First Tee chapter is dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for every individual involved. Part of this commitment is making sure everyone who works with your child has completed a thorough background check. In addition, all employees, coaches, volunteers, and board members are required to complete the Safe Sport training program. Child safety in sports is at the core of our programming and is one of our biggest focuses when organizing golf lessons and golf events in Denver.

Safe Sport Act Compliance

First Tee is committed to fully complying with all elements of The Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017 (the “Act”), which was enacted to curtail and prevent abuse found at various youth sports organizations by elevating the standard of care by which sports organizations must act. As part of our compliance efforts associated with the Act, First Tee chapters across the country have adopted the following Safe Sport Policy.

First Tee recognizes that individuals may be reluctant to report an allegation of misconduct, which is why we strive to remove as many barriers to reporting as possible. As such, anonymous reports may be sent via email to the following address: [email protected].
