Format: Modified Pinehurst (Two-Person Team)
This format is designed to celebrate teamwork, strategy, and allow everyone to showcase their skills. In this format, both players are active on every single hole.

How to Play:

  • Tee Shots (Both Play) – Everyone Tees Off: Both the parent and the junior hit a tee shot from their designated tee box listed above.
  • The Second Shots (The Switch) – Switch Balls: You do not pick the best drive yet. Instead, you walk out to the fairways and play from each other’s tee shots. The Parent hits the junior’s tee shot, The Junior hits the parent’s tee shot.
  • The Choice & Alternate Shot (The Finish) – Pick the Best Ball: After both players have hit their second shots, look at the results. As a team, choose the one ball in the best position and pick up the other.
  • Alternate to the Hole: From that chosen spot, you will play Alternate Shot until the ball is in the cup.
  • Crucial Rule: The person who did not hit the chosen second shot plays the third shot. – Example: If you choose the ball the Junior just struck for the second shot, the Parent must hit the third shot. You then alternate turns (Junior hits 4th, Parent hits 5th) until holed out.

What’s included: Greens Fee, Cart, Lunch, Prizes (1st-3rd on each course), Proxies (closest to the pin for kids and adults on each course).

Quick Tips & Reminders:

  • Every Shot Matters: Because you have to switch balls for the second shot, a great junior tee shot gives the
parent an excellent chance to set up a birdie or par opportunity!
  • Marking Your Ball: When choosing the best second shot, mark the ball’s position with a tee or coin. The player
whose turn it is can place their ball within one club-length (no closer to the hole) in the exact same condition
(e.g., if it’s in the rough, it stays in the rough). On the putting green, place the ball within a scorecard from where
    it was marked.
  • Maximum Score: To keep pace of play moving, the maximum score on any hole is a Double Bogey. If you reach
that number, please pick up your ball and move to the next tee.
