Kyla Gordon - The O'Sullivan Law Firm Scholarship

Kyla Gordon, 2021 Golf Scholarship Recipient from First Tee - Colorado Rocky Mountains

First Tee - Denver has been a huge part of my life since the age of 5. My dad had started me in beginner classes and ever since then I have stayed with First Tee - Denver and moved up. During all this time, First Tee - Denver has stayed very loyal to me. They have respected me, gave me amazing coaches, taught me core values to use on and off the course, and most importantly led me to my best game of golf. The impact that First Tee - Denver and their coaches have given me have encouraged me to become very successful in my future. With that I am beyond grateful to receive this scholarship. I will be continuing my education after high school at Wichita State University to study entrepreneurship. Having this scholarship will allow me to save money and pay for college in a timely manner and be able to open up my restaurant. Thank you to First Tee - Denver and The O'Sullivan Law Firm for this scholarship and an amazing opportunity. I hope in my future path to give back to First Tee - Denver and help them grow this wonderful program.

Aubri Braecklein - Girls In Golf Scholarship

Aubri Braecklein - Girls In Golf Scholarship in Denver

I have been a part of First Tee - Denver officially for about five years now but ever since I was little I played at the Katie Course at Willis Case and fell in love with the game of golf. My experience with First Tee has been amazing! The program is like a family. I have made friends and have had some incredible opportunities because of First Tee - Denver. I have been able to teach young kids not only about the sport I love but the nine core values that help them in golf and life. I also got the fantastic once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play at Pebble Beach at the Pure Insurance Championship. Now I am receiving a generous scholarship that will undoubtedly help me so much throughout my college years. Receiving this scholarship means the world to me. I will be attending Georgia State University next year. I will be a student-athlete, so I will not have as much time as other students do to get a job. This money will help me not worry about tuition costs and will give me more time to focus on my studies and golf. Thank you so much to First Tee - Denver for giving me this scholarship and all these amazing relationships and opportunities. I am so glad I became a part of this wonderful program.

Jacob Schleuger - Injury Finance Scholarship

Jacob Schleuger - Injury Finance Scholarship, 2021 Golf Scholarship Recipient from First Tee - Colorado Rocky Mountains

Receiving this scholarship is one of greatest things to have ever happened to me. I have been a part of the First Tee since I was in Third grade. From those little Read N’ Swing lessons and activities we did to practicing in the First Tee’s classes to becoming a Junior Coach, First Tee has been with me the whole way. I would have never developed into the young man I am today without the First Tee by my side. That is why this scholarship means the world to me since it is going to help me pursue the career I want and help me develop into an even better person. College is going to be my next challenge in life but I am very thankful for the people who are going to support me through it.

Alyssa Chin - Ralph L. Smith Foundation Scholarship

Alyssa Chin - Ralph L. Smith Foundation Scholarship, 2021 Golf Scholarship Recipient from First Tee - Colorado Rocky Mountains

The Ralph L. Smith Foundation Scholarship helps me achieve my dream of going to college at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, I will carry First Tee’s Core Values of honesty, integrity, responsibility perseverance, and respect to positively influence my communities around me.
The scholarship helps me to pursue my dream of going to college and studying the academic areas that fascinate me like business, economics, political science, creative writing, and Spanish. Human behavior and decision making has always fascinated me, and I can study it in all these areas and write about behavior in books, like my book I wrote, “Trust Out of Reach.” I want to become fluent in Spanish and understand the rich culture, so I would love to study abroad. The scholarship will help me to focus on my studies and will help relieve some financial burden of going to college.
I also plan to continue my golf journey with the NCCGA, National College Club Golf Association, furthering my competitive golf and sportsmanship and courtesy core values. My deep gratitude and thanks to the Ralph L. Smith Foundation and First Tee - Denver as I journey through the next chapter in my life.
